Secure, State of the Art Hosting Facilities

Glows in the Dark's production and hosting facility is located on one of the area's most sophisticated networks and is included as part of our service to our Glows|DMS customers.

Our facility is connected to the Internet via Affinity's multiple, redundant high-speed DS-3 circuits over Verizon's OC-48 SONET ring, providing high speed access for even the most demanding web applications and services. The entirely switched internal LAN segments are all connected to the core switches at 100 Mbps. Each of our servers is connected to a dedicated port of a 100Mbps switch that provides direct, high speed access to the Affinity network backbone.

This means that Web sites hosted on our network are part of the fastest and most sophisticated network in the Baltimore-Washington area. Since our servers are not co-located in another state, if there is a problem, we know about it instantly and can take immediate action to solve it.

Though a technician is always onsite in our server facility, the state of services and connectivity is checked every 5 minutes by our server monitoring software. In the event of any type of system availability problem, two separate technicians are notified via cell phone that a problem exists. Additionally, we backup all of our sites and SQL Server databases daily to minimize data loss should there be a hardware failure.
