The American Gaming Association (AGA) opened its office in Washington, D.C., in June 1995 with the fundamental goal of creating a better understanding of the gaming entertainment industry by bringing facts about the industry to the general public, elected officials, other decision makers and the media through education and advocacy.

Founded in 1973, the Mortgage Insurance Companies of America is the trade association representing member private mortgage insurance companies. MICA’s members expand homeownership opportunities to purchase homes with low down payment mortgages, which allow the borrower to make a down payment of less than the traditional 20 percent of the house purchase price.

MICA serves as an educator and conduit of information on legislative and regulatory developments, representing the member companies’ position on Capitol Hill. The association acts as a liaison with other housing trade and finance organizations, as well as the federal secondary mortgage market agencies. MICA strives to enhance public understanding of the vital role private MI plays to build and sustain a robust residential housing market.

The National Center for Responsible Gaming (NCRG) is the only national organization exclusively devoted to funding research that helps increase understanding of pathological and youth gambling and find effective methods of treatment for the disorder. The NCRG is the American Gaming Association’s (AGA) affiliated charity.

Founded in 1996 as a separate 501(c)(3) charitable organization, the NCRG’s mission is to help individuals and families affected by gambling disorders by supporting the finest peer-reviewed, scientific research into pathological and youth gambling; encouraging the application of new research findings to improve prevention, diagnostic, intervention and treatment strategies; and advancing public education about gambling disorders and responsible gaming.
